B allard Spahr LLP seeks a Closing Coordinator for the Public Finance Group in our Denver office. The Closing Coordinator will support our nationally-recognized Public Finance lawyers who represent governmental entities and 501(c)(3) exempt organizations in virtually every type of public finance transaction. The successful candidate will undertake a range of tasks and responsibilities, including preparing, organizing, proofreading and assembling closing documents, providing support in data collection, and coordinating closing and post-closing logistics. The coordinator will work with lawyers, paralegals, legal administrative assistants, and project assistants within the practice group to provide timely high quality closing support.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal and strong communication skills are essential to be successful in this position. Candidates must be detail-oriented and have a proven track record of being able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention to detail.

An intermediate level of technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Excel); and strong basic mathematical skills, are needed. Work experience with real estate or financial transactions, in particular in public finance, would be especially advantageous but is not required. Candidates with experience in other practice areas or whose experience and skills are closely related to this position will be considered. Must be able to work overtime periodically, when needed.

For individuals with some exposure to public finance or real estate transactions, this position could offer a career progression. We are also open to structuring this position as an entry-level position for a highly motivated and well-organized recent college graduate with good computer skills and a strong comfort with basic math who is willing to learn, or for an individual with these skills who is wishing to change career paths and learn about public finance.

Time worked in excess of 40 hours per week will be paid at time and one-half of the hourly rate. The salary range for this position is from $40,000 - $60,000 depending upon experience.
