A fulfilling role awaits the new Rehab and Therapy Director at this respected and well-known Health System in the Denver Area. This person will take oversight and responsibility for Clinical Operations of this extensive Rehabilitation and Therapy Services line that spans three Acute Care Hospitals and over 20 Clinic locations. This organization has been recognized both locally and nationally for outstanding patient care, excellent outcomes, and for implementing cutting-edge technology and treatments.
Reporting to the Vice President of Allied Health, the Rehab and Therapy Director will oversee a large team of 200+ FTEs in one of the county’s most progressive health care organizations. This person won’t be doing it alone, and will be supported by an excellent team of inpatient and outpatient / ambulatory services leaders. At each of the three hospitals, the Clinical Operations Director will be supported by Managers who oversee Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy, as well as Managers for Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation and Long Term Rehabilitation. At the clinic locations, this Director will be supported by Regional Ambulatory Managers who oversee teams of Home Physical and Speech Therapists, Clinic Based PTs, and Audiology Specialists.
The Rehab and Therapy Director will serve as a Clinical and Operations expert for an amazing group of Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, RNs, Technicians, and other support staff. Included in this oversight are inpatient services that span over 70-beds across three hospitals and offer a cutting-edge array of traditional and emerging treatment techniques and modalities. The Director will work closely with hospital leadership at these locations to ensure smooth patient transitions, clinical integration, and continuum of care.
The Outpatient Services offered by the Rehabilitation and Therapy Service Department have been recognized and awarded for excellence of care and patient satisfaction. The Rehab and Therapy Clinical Operations Director will work closely with Clinic Administrators and site-based Clinical Leaders to support services at over 20 clinic locations throughout the greater Denver Metro Area.
The Rehab and Therapy Director will take responsibly for clinical and operational oversight of a large, compassionate, and distributed team. This Director will play a huge role in developing and implementing both long and short-term strategic plans, and will create the performance standards for each of the work teams. Though not an extensive list, other responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and maintain Policies and Procedures, coordinating updates as needed and serving as a subject matter expert for care delivery in both inpatient and outpatient facilities.
- Collaborate with leaders throughout the region and the health system do develop operational synergies in care transitions.
- Serve as a clinical mentor and leader for staff, promoting shared governance, supporting patient dignity and satisfaction, and fostering educational growth
- Provide leadership around Accreditation processes and Surveys with TJC, the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, ACCME, and many others
This is a large, exciting role. The incoming Clinical Operations Director will need to have a background in managing large groups of healthcare professionals, and in working closely with healthcare administrators at all levels. This person should have a clinical background in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy, and will be required to have or obtain a license that allows them to practice in Colorado.
