Job Details

Director of Medical Staff and Professional Services

  • Reports to the Vice President and General Counsel
  • Responsible for establishing, contributing to and maintaining continuity in the planning, development and implementation of standards applicable to the medical staff members relating to credentialing, quality, continuing medical education, medical library and administrative functions.
  • Responsible for medical staff preparation, documentation, and organization and follow-up involved in maintaining hospital accreditation and licensure with the Joint Commission and Department of Health Services
  • Continually identify, monitor and implement key measures and processes that are intended to improve/enhance quality and fiscal responsibility at the hospital and at the department level. These include but are not limited to: supervision of employees, budget preparation, financial analysis, continuous quality improvement, performance process improvement, medical staff education and strategic planning.
