The GIS Platform Engineering Team is looking for a user interface designer and system analyst with strong visual skills and a deep understanding of digital design.  

This role requires strong cross-functional team collaboration with designers, software engineers, and corporate communications.  Responsibilities will include creating branded application designs, layouts and concepts. The candidate will need to design enterprise interfaces that visually align to Bank of America branding standards, produce design artifacts such as wireframes, illustrations and other design assets for web and mobile applications in addition to stakeholder alignment presentation materials. 

This role will assist in gathering and understanding project requirements through stakeholder and user interviews. This role will need to coordinate and conduct brainstorming and design feedback sessions, to generate ideas and determine design direction and be receptive to feedback.  This role will need to have strong communication skills to convey the intent and purpose of their work in an effort to build team and stakeholder understanding and alignment.

Skills required:

- Work closely with development team in an agile environment 
- Ability to create appealing interface designs and wireframes
- Experience with application and corporate branding guidelines 
- Ability to create digital illustrations to enhance user experience and understanding
- Must demonstrate a strong design aesthetic in regards to application design
- Must have experience in cross-platform, cross-device design considerations (Mobile, Tablet, Desktop).
- Must be able to verbally communicate the strengths and weaknesses of a design
- Must be a strong collaborator
- Ability to facilitate feedback and wireframe sessions with user community
- Ability to translate designs and work with development teams for the creation of end products

The following toolset experience is required:
- Axure / Balsamiq or similar
- InVision 
- Sketch 
- Adobe Photoshop 
- Strong understanding of CSS and HTML
Enterprise position overview: Responsible for ensuring products provide a meaningful and relevant experience to users. Guides the entirety of the design process through completion by presenting to stakeholders and working along side the development team to ensure accurate implementation and compliance to enterprise brand and accessibility standards. Creates user-centered, simple and moderns designs, which are desirable and efficient multi-channel experiences. Works closely with the users, stakeholders, and Product Owner to develop a cohesive and consistent user experience, and increase user satisfaction. Creates innovative solutions that generate significant value for the client. Leads/oversees all of the user experience and design aspects of a product. Anticipates user needs, advocates for them and ensures the final product delights them. Independently designs and run user research to derive insights and add context. Synthesizes the user research data to articulate customer needs, and create tangible solutions for user-centered design. Facilitates innovation, design thinking, and design studio workshops to create digital experiences. Develops concept sketches and storyboards, detailed interaction designs and screen flows, functional specifications, and prototypes to clearly articulate solutions. Expert in the banks brand and effectively applies the brand to visual designs. Ensures that the solution in development aligns to best practices, brand consistency, and standards including accessibility. Collaborates with the development team to ensure designs are feasible to implement and subsequently implemented accurately, and assists with accessibility requirements. Leads concept and usability testing and synthesizes the results to validate and improve solution design. Tracks user experience metrics and reports on the success of improvements. Mentors more junior Experience Designers. Individual contributor.
