THE OPPORTUNITY

TechInsights is introducing a new position to our organization, Finance Controller (U.S). Joining the Finance team, this position is responsible for overall accounting and tax of the Groups' US entities. Reporting to the Groups' Finance Controller, the role will be responsible for the U.S entities balance sheet, revenue, expense, as well as managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

OUR PURPOSE

We do this through our intellectually astute and highly motivated people who analyze technology products from the package to the atomic level to reveal the innovations others cannot. Our detailed analyses and data are available to customers through our proprietary platforms and tools, and our technology intelligence is used to further the innovation of semiconductors, which are at the heart of all technology.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Responsible for the financial close process including journal entries, revenue recognition (IFRS -15), necessary for an accurate accounting of US entities results
  • Direct all finance and accounting operations, including monthly financial close, AP, AR, payroll, tax and treasury and statutory reporting for the US managed entities.
  • Liaison with external auditors and tax consultants, provide financial information when requested, including year-end tax working papers.
  • Ensure for timely, accurate, and efficient monthly accounting close for managed entities to meet the Groups' close process timelines.
  • Provide transaction support and accounting for mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and legal entities rationalization activities.
  • Collaborates on the annual financial audit process performed by our independent CPA firm.
  • Full balance sheet and P&L review and prepare monthly journal entries and monthly general ledger account reconciliations as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies operationally and financially.
  • Analyze the performance and propose corrective plans as needed to improve profitability and cash generation.
  • Play key role within the organization on ad hoc projects where necessary as the company grows.

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • CPA preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years accounting experience with some focus on M & A an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS Accounting experience highly desired.
  • Basic knowledge of US Corporate and Sales tax laws.
  • Work experience as a Controller or similar role
  • Proficiency with software applications including ERP, CRM (i.e. NetSuite / Salesforce a plus)

Expected salary range $140 - 160K
