Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a software engineer who will be focused on enhancing the current features of our platform and offerings, working with existing legacy code, building new features to meet business requirements, and participating in collaboration meetings where concepts for new features begin. You will work closely with other team members on technical issues and complex problems and take ownership of application development and design.

Persons in this role should be able to:

  • Design and implement web based applications or client/server applications

  • Work with offering/product owners and other stakeholders to clarify requirements/specs and create automated functional and unit tests

  • Effectively and clearly communicate with others

  • Create technical designs for application features and documentation

  • Actively develop, implement and further software development/unit testing best practices within team

  • Investigate problems with software applications, diagnose root causes, and work on fixing them

-Work Independently in a security domain.

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position $119,850 to $183,770 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 4+ years of hands on development, preferably in a medium to large sized company

  • Familiar with Agile development, operating systems, hypervisors, scripting languages, network configuration tools, DevOps environments, and the concept of integrated systems management.

  • Intermediate or expert understanding of web markup languages, including HTML5, CSS3

  • Intermediate or expert understanding client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks such as NodeJS, and ReactJS

  • Intermediate understanding of a programming languages like Java, Scala, GoLang

  • Intermediate or expert understanding of SQL

  • Familiar with relational databases (e.g. Oracle, DB2, MySQL/MariaDB, Postgres, etc) as well as NoSQL databases (e.g. CouchDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)

  • Proficient understanding of Git source code repository

  • Familiar with Linux Operating System

  • Experienced with JavaScript and Java

  • Experience with Azure, AWS, and/or GCP (Azure experience preferred)

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Experience at a Team Lead or Scrum Lead level preferred

  • Familiar with the Jira issue tracking system

  • Familiar with scripting languages (e.g. shell scripting, python, Perl, etc.)

  • Familiar with build automation frameworks (e.g. Ansible)

  • Familiar with virtualization technology or container technology (e.g. VMWare, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift)

  • Familiar with developing application requiring internationalization and localization
