Job Purpose

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the management of the Human Resources functions of Forward Solution, our parent company to include employee relations, leave management, system administration, worker’s compensation, policy implementation and interpretation, recruitment, retention, and benefits administration for our organization. This position works in partnership with the Leadership Team and Finance department to ensure the maintenance of company culture and ongoing positive employee relations.

This position will accept candidates from the Hershey, PA, Atlanta, GA, Houston, TX, Chicago, IL, Denver, CO or Tampa, FL areas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and regularly evaluate the following Human Resource activities and programs – Employment/Recruitment, Benefits Administration, Employee Performance Appraisals, Unemployment Compensation, HRIS, Employee Relations, and other key HR responsibilities
  • Maintain HRIS and oversee the preparation and distribution of various HR reports
  • Ensures adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Ensure job description, employee handbook, and other policies and procedures are up to date
  • Manage the fair and consistent administration of policies
  • Remain abreast of changing HR-related laws and regulations; attend seminars and conferences on HR topics
  • Manage the orientation of and monitor performance of new employees during probationary period of employment
  • Conduct training & organizational needs assessments to maintain, improve, and develop on-going organizational employee development programs
  • Coordinate Employee Relations concerns, investigate as needed and consistently maintain positive associate relations
  • Ensure the administration of the Workers' Compensation program for the facility
  • Forecast and maintain Human Resources budgets based on business needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
  • 5+ years' experience in Human Resources
  • PHR required and SHRM certification preferred
  • •Experience with employee relations management and investigations
  • •Must have positive attitude and be employee focused
  • •Communication Skills: well skilled in listening and effectively interacting with all team members and ability to present to small and large audiences
  • Exceptional system skills including the Microsoft Office Suite. (Outlook, Word. PowerPoint and Excel)
  • •Strong knowledge of HR Compliance requirements pertaining to OSHA, FMLA, COBRA, STD, AAP, EEO, ADA, FLSA and Worker’s Compensation
  • •Ability to properly maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • • Ability to organize and direct a project to completion utilizing given tools, resources, and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt to change in the workplace
  • Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
  • Attention to detail and good judgement
