Location: Englewood, CO

Terms: Contract-to-hire, 4-6 months

Rate/ salary: 45-55/ hr; $95-115k

Job Description

A Junior Program Manager for IT Test Management is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and delivery of IT Wireless projects related to testing and defect management within the SDLC, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.


• Lead the planning and implementation of the IT Wireless Applications testing projects

• Facilitate the definition of program scope, goals and deliverables

• Develop full scale Program plans working with various IT and Business teams

• Present and negotiate scope and schedule with customers, senior management, and IT teams

• Assemble and coordinate Program staff and manage program resource allocation

• Plan and schedule program timelines and necessary weekly/daily or ad hoc meetings

• Identify, document, mitigate, resolve risks issues and update program RAID as things change and evolve

• Provide direction and support to Wireless program team and coordinate with IT Wireless Program managers

• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the program to all stakeholders

• Implement and manage program changes and interventions to achieve program outputs

• Provide program evaluations and assessment of results throughout and post project deployment

• Report overall test status, dependencies and issues across multiple test teams

• Program oversight and coordination of testing across multiple testing phases, including Component, SIT and End-to-End testing

• Manage testing risks and issues across the program, develop contingency plan as appropriate

• Own defect management process for the program, ensuring defects are remediated and risks communicated

Preferred Experience:

• 3-5+ years of IT Project, Program, and/or Scrum Master experience - focused on software projects/ SDLC/ Agile

• Experience with tracking multiple projects and deliverables, and prefer experience in tracking test defects for complex software development projects (usually using tools like Rally and Jira)

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to interact effectively with IT management, software development and test teams, and infrastructure teams, and with business partners

• Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project and program management

• Knowledge of technical hardware program management techniques and tools

• Knowledge of working with Vendor SOWs, RFPs, and contracts
