Description: Our client, a premium quality top seafood company based in New England, is currently seeking a National Sales and Marketing Manager.  Position can be based remotely in New England or the NE.  Generous compensation package, bonus opportunity and excellent benefits package!  Strong career path and team!

Started in 1978, my client has a strong commitment to producing premium quality smoked seafood including Atlantic Salmon, Wild Sockeye, Rainbow Trout, Wild Mackerel and Shellfish, along with several other quality products.  Strong grocery national account background across the U.S.  
The National Sales & Marketing Manager is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated sales professional. The position requires a leader focused on customer satisfaction and achieving short & long-term sales goals collaboratively in a team environment. Frequent travel to home office as well as travel domestically to key markets and some international travel related to corporate meetings is required. The ideal candidate has a record of proven success in the food industry (seafood an added plus!). 
Responsibilities: •Acquire and maintain detailed understanding of products and operations, the category and key industry trends. •Directly supervise team of 4-5 regional sales managers and maximize productivity through recruiting, training, coaching and team-building. •Work with marketing team on marketing and product development projects. •Work with other sales directors in US to coordinate sales activities •Coordinate with other business units and global directives. •Build and maintain key relationships with targeted new and existing retail and food service customers. •National Account management to include business reviews, corporate events and national sales planning. •Create and execute annual sales and strategy plan to generate incremental sales based on growth goals. •Prepare annual sales budget, manage & adjust budget throughout the year. •Develop effective promotional programs designed to build customer sales. •Contribute to overall management as a member of the company’s management team. 
Qualifications/Skills 
•BS/BA college degree preferred, sales professionals with 5+ years of relevant sales management experience in the seafood or food industry are preferred. •Excellent presentation and writing skills, as well as ability to analyze and generate market data & sales reports. •Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office products. •Strong skills in problem-solving, building customer relationships, consultative or solutions selling, and multi-tasking. •Good business acumen, well-developed sense of professionalism •Demonstrate sound business judgement and decision-making •Thrives in a team management environment.
