Network Systems Administrator - Windows
3 Month Contract to Hire
Overview– Our client, a leader in supplying analytics to the cannabis industry, is seeking a Systems Administrator for a contract to hire opportunity in Boulder, CO. You will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing their software, hardware, and networks.
What you’ll do…
. Install and configure software and hardware
. Trouble ticket accountability and resolution
. Set up accounts and workstations
. Creation and updating of network documentation
. Ensure security through access controls, and firewalls
. Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes
. Management of network monitoring tools (RMM)
. Troubleshoot, maintain, and administer the following IT resources: Windows 2016, 2012 R2, Active Directory, Hyper-V, network services (DNS, DHCP), patch management, Antivirus management and enterprise backup systems
. Management and maintenance of Microsoft Azure environments and Azure Services
. Configure, optimize and deploy Microsoft Azure solutions (IaaS, DRaaS, PaaS, AAD, Automation, Monitor, etc.).
. Migrate existing workloads to Azure.
. Recommending improvements for the infrastructure to improve user experience, productivity, or resolve issues
. Design and deployment of robust network services to meet evolving business requirements
Who you are…
.3-5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role
. Associate or higher degree in a related field; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
. Windows Stack on Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Clustering, IIS, etc.
. Automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Chef, etc.)
. Backup operations (NetBackup, Tivoli, Networker, LTO Tape, Data Domain, S3, Glacier)
. Systems Tool Expertise (ELK, Nagios, Splunk, etc.)
. Cloud (O365, Azure, AZURE AD)
. Knowledge of supporting IT infrastructure technologies and standards including software & hardware life cycle, system configuration policies, security, hardening, HA, DR etc.
. Familiarity with Azure Fundamentals subject matter
. Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive and readily embraces change.
. Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
. Excellent communication skills
