Our smaller, well established South Denver client is actively looking to hire an Experienced Tax Manager or Sr. Tax Manager (CPA) for an immediate role with the organization. Opportunities for advancement and Equity Partnership is available for the right person. Overall, this CPA firm has a very solid, exciting, and growing mid-market client base – primarily focused on Real Estate / Private Equity clientele. This Manager level position will also provide work direction, mentorship, and training to 5-6 Tax Staff & Seniors.
This direct hire opportunity will focus on complex entity work (predominantly 1065’s) & related High Net Worth Individual (1040) tax engagements. Their work environment is friendly, laid back / relaxed – free from “micro-management”. The ideal candidates will have exposure to multi-tiered and complex Partnership Returns and HNWI Tax clientele. Core responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Review of Federal and State Tax Returns; periodic complex return preparation
• A focus on complex flow-through entities (mostly 1065 and some 1120S) -- along with a mix of challenging High Net Worth Individual (HNWI) compliance, including multi-state returns
• Tax planning and research for clients on a variety of levels including various fed/state tax issues
• Active client communication and helping manage workflow / work processes
• Management, training, and mentoring of Tax Staff and Tax Senior team members
This position will pay a competitive base salary in the $100-175K range + a lucrative bonus plan historically paying out at 20-25% annually, 100% company paid health insurance for the employee, and generous PTO offerings -- along with remote / cloud based work offerings.
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Master's in Accounting / Taxation or related degree is required for serious consideration -- along with an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing.
Any hands-on experience with Thomson Professional Suite (UltraTax CS software and GoFileRoom) would only be beneficial.
