Job Details

Manage all aspects of construction for Commercial and Mixed-Use projects:
Primary Supervisor for all site coordination, management activities, operations, and safety
Work with Project Manager to provide input on bidding/contracting, and project schedule
Ability to read, interpret, and analyze Construction Documents & Specifications
Review contract documents for design feedback and value engineering opportunities
Manage construction costs to construction budget
Responsible for meeting construction schedule while maintaining company quality standards
Manage municipal inspections, required testing and 3rd party inspections as required
Facilitate efficient close out process
Accountable for successful build-out of assigned projects:
Manage project schedule, and direct the efficient sequencing of trades / laborers to ensure project delivers on-time
Assist in buy-out of trades, and implement cost control measures during construction to ensure project delivers on-budget
Supervise subcontractors in the field - know the fundamentals of both General Contracted and Self-Performed work
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe site
Active participation in developing and maintaining effective, collaborative, and productive relationships with trades.
Maintain an active safety program throughout projects, and enforce safety practices with employees and trades.
Coordinate w/ construction admin regarding document control.
Manage on-site construction team and maintain strong positive relationships with trade partners.
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
15+ years Commercial construction field experience.
Experience in Multifamily & Commercial Precon Services; Review of Construction Docs (including VE input), Sequencing/Scheduling, Buyout/Scopes of Work/Contracting.
Knowledge of and relationships with local and regional Multifamily/Commercial trades that translate to our product types.
Strong communication, organization, interpersonal skills to shepherd projects with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.
Accuracy; keen attention to detail.
Driven to find creative solutions to obstacles where no typical answer exists.
Leadership Skills:
Regular interaction and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish project goals.
Ability to make independent decisions.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Self-starter, proactive and creative, takes initiative to address issues.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a primary function, the position requires:
Active negotiation skills and the ability to influence others and resolve problems in a positive manner.
Ability to work with all types of stakeholders: Subordinates, peers, internal ownership, various internal business units, external consultants, public and governmental agencies and adapt/adjust to changing circumstances.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project.
OSHA 30 certification.
Scheduling, time management, priority setting.
Experience reviewing and processing pay applications.
Ability to develop systems, implement, train, and manage.
Preferred proficiency with Procore.
