Job Summary

The Video and Photography Production Coordinator is a member of the Marketing team who carries out College-wide marketing responsibilities. This position is responsible for writing, directing, planning, and producing photo and video work for ACC. The Video and Photography Production Coordinator will determine tactics and visual assets that will support marketing initiatives, recruitment, ACC's strategic plan and diversity, equity, and inclusion goals. This position will champion the ACC Brand through visual imagery and storytelling. The Coordinator will consult and direct on concepts, execution, best practices, and accessibility requirements for visual marketing projects. The Coordinator is responsible for producing and curating a library of creative videos and professional photographs that promote the programs, services, and campuses of Arapahoe Community College across multiple media platforms.

This position requires creative work under the pressure of deadlines with a client focused attitude. This position requires travel between the ACC Campuses in Littleton, and Castle Rock. Occasional after-hours or weekend work is required. A flexible work schedule and the ability to work remotely when appropriate is available for this position.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in telecommunications, video production, film production, media arts, photography, multimedia journalism, digital communications or related field, or equivalent, relevant experience. An equivalency will not count towards the three-year requirement below.
  • Three years related work experience in creation and direction of videography.
  • Three years demonstrated experience in still photography to include candid, landscape, action, and portrait.
  • Experience managing video and photo shoots.
  • Experience working in a remote environment and using virtual tools to support remote work.
  • Knowledge in the creative use of video and video production including Adobe Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of videography and camera operations, including set-up, lighting, green screen.
  • Stellar organization and project management skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks/projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and use discretion and judgement to move a project forward.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in video editing, visual effects, compositing, and motion graphics.
  • Fluent in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier or other editing suites and compression software applications.
  • Ability to transport, set up, and operate various and potentially heavy production equipment including cameras, lighting, audio, and props for location and studio production.
  • Online portfolio containing long and short form video and photography samples.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial Video and Advertising Production experience.
  • Candid and Formal Photography experience.

Physical & Cognitive Demands

The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.

  • Occasionally moves, positions, and transports office supplies and video and production equipment weighing up to 40lbs. to specific locations on our ACC Campuses. Will travel with equipment to our three campus locations, most often alone.
  • Will need to stoop, reach, handle, have manual dexterity and the ability to talk and hear.
  • This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
  • The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires the ability to travel between ACC campus locations and to local events. Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required.

Advertised Salary Range

Salary range for this position is $63,393 to $71,000, commensurate with education and experience. AP 3-45 provides information regarding salary placement and adjustments. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
