Job Summary

The Director, Internet Strategy, will work on a variety of strategic and high visibility projects that help shape Charter’s internet strategy. This key contributor to the internet team will work with functional leaders across all of Charter's units, including Residential, Mobile, SMB and Enterprise. The scope of the role includes identifying new growth opportunities, evaluating investment opportunities and answering key strategic questions. This role will also partner with our Government Affairs team on strategy as well as comprehensive analysis regarding the potential product impacts of new regulations. The Director will interact with and present to executives at the highest level of the company. Day-to-day this position will manage work streams and junior team members, and use analytical, communication and problem-solving skills to conduct in-depth analysis and make recommendations.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Oversee projects and develop strategic analyses to assess new growth and investment opportunities, and evaluate business risks for the Business Unit leadership.
  • Identify business, financial and operational implications.
  • Provide business insights based on rigorous, fact-based analyses of customer needs, competitive dynamics and industry trends.
  • Evaluate new or existing projects for financial returns — IRR/ROI/ROIC.
  • Participate in and lead business development and partnership discussions.
  • Support the launch of new products and business operations by working with key constituents across products and functions to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Represent the broad view of Charter when supporting the business on specific projects or initiatives.
  • Lead policy meetings with Government Affairs and Legal, and publish internal executive policy summaries.
  • Follow and produce analysis on policy discussions/publications across the industry regarding the potential impact to the company’s product strategy (Regulatory and Standards Impacts).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance, Business or related field of study

Required Related Work Experience And Number Of Years

Management consulting experience / 5+

Strategy and development or related experience / 8+

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • General understanding of broadband strategy as well as consumer electronics:
  • Access Network, cloud, latency, security, routing, Wi-Fi, BLE, Matter
  • Mobile networks, and Smartphone OS and associated App Store policy
  • Familiar and engaged with a wide variety of consumer electronics devices and associated services
  • (Fitness, gaming, healthcare, automotive, social)
  • Competitive strategy across Fiber, Cable, Fixed Wireless, Satellite, and IP service

Preferred Education

MBA or post-graduate degree

The pay for this position has a minimum of $120,700.00. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
