Summary The Retail Operations Manager (ROM) is primarily responsible for the effective performance management of all retail General Managers, Assistant Managers, Leads and non-exempt retail associates. The ROM ensures that all retail facilities are operating in accordance with company policies, as well as local and state regulations. Additionally, the ROM will provide oversight for all retail facility inventory levels are above set par levels, and that all retail facilities are to The Green Solution's marketing and design standards. Finally, the ROM will assist the Director of Operations in owning and innovating the customer experience for their departments as they work closely with various business partners to deliver business results. Qualified candidates must have experience developing customer service experiences, developing/leading successful teams, a strong analytical and business background as well as a familiarity with technology and platform capabilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities ? Maintain a friendly, courteous and compassionate demeanor at all times ? Adhere to company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism ? Understand the complexity of compliance requirements governing our businesses, including the following types of regulatory agencies: Marijuana Enforcement Division, Fire Department, City Zoning and Planning, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment ? Promote open feedback from the operations team with other departments to ensure the integration of the retail strategy with The Green Solution's other activities ? Translate strategic goals into retail operational plans to achieve the required targeted growth in sales and profit; identify and optimize promotional opportunities, ensuring these are coordinated with The Green Solution promotional campaigns ? Ensure that the retail operation complies with all policies and procedures relating to security, health, and safety; influence any changes necessary to meet state and company regulatory standards, guaranteeing minimum risk to staff members and the business ? Spend time in retail locations with retail teams and patrons to understand and identify critical business issues; uphold the corporate identity of The Green Solution ? Build a strong sales management culture with the operations team; coach managers, identify skills and opportunities for development; provide advice and guidance in regard to management issues when needed, ensuring all issues are resolved and escalated through the appropriate Human Resources channels ? Proactively manage/review the performance and progress of Retail Managers; set objectives and targets; work with Retail Training Manager to develop individual training plans ? Preserve, seek, utilize and analyze management information with the IT Manager to develop and manage retail performance for the Point-of-Sale (POS) System. ? Perform weekly General Manager/Assistant Manager conference call meetings ? Forecast staffing needs, including budgeting overtime hours and relaying overhead costs to CEOs ? Instigate the creation of procedures and systems to maximize volunteer recruitment and retention ? Cultivate an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards; promote integrity ? Develop and implement strategies to retain a highly skilled workforce ? Leverage internal and external partnerships/networks to maximize the achievement of business goals ? Drive foundational understanding of website performance and trends ? Ensure cross-functional alignment on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ? Lead the development and execution of long and short-term strategies ? High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required ? Associate or Bachelor's degree in any field required ? Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent field required Training ? Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Management Required Skills & Experience ? Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills ? E-commerce digital merchandising experience management of large businesses, product/tech partnership, business owner of new features, demonstration of successful launches of large-scale initiatives ? Ability to understand and run a business; data driven decision maker ? Leadership ability to manage large teams, cross functional influence ? Strategy/vision to develop a customer experience ? Technical understanding of back-end and front-end/customer facing dependencies ? Approximately 3-7 years of relevant experience ? Mastery of Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with current versions ? Technical skills that include digital file maintenance and handling, uploading, downloading, file conversions, file naming conventions, and document storage ? Familiarity with word processing, design, database, point-of-sales, and web-based software applications Preferred Skills & Experience ? Ability to task prioritize with shifting workload in a fast-paced office environment and meet deadlines ? Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements; previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities ? Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Office features ? Understanding of basic printing, binding and publishing needs, as they relate to document security and distribution ? Experience with financial management ? Experience with project management ? Ability to professionally and effectively communicate Other Requirements Physical Requirements ?
