Coordinates nursing support programs, including the development and implementation of program curriculum, oversight of employee progression through all program components and development of innovative strategies for retention and career progression of nursing support staff.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days/80 hours per pay period.
Participates with Human Resources Recruiters in the recruitment and hiring of nursing support staff including acting as a team member in the development of recruitment strategies and actions to ensure a seamless and successful hiring process.
Develops and implements the Patient Care Assistant program curriculum, in collaboration with applicable governing bodies and committees. Conducts and/or coordinates classes, skills verification labs, specialized courses, group sessions and other activities.
Acts in a leadership role for the program, chairing applicable committees, articulating program needs, monitoring program budget, and reporting program issues to regional Professional Development Director or Vice President of Professional Development. Participates in the development of strategies for retention and career progression of nursing support staff..
Functions as a liaison between disciplines and departments in assuring smoothly coordinated nursing support programs , including facilitating meetings, identifying and responding to daily issues.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Minimum Required Education: BSN from a nationally accredited program. Preferred: MSN.
Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant certification as determined at position level.
Minimum Experience: 3 years of medical surgical, intensive care or specialty nursing experience in an acute care setting. Instructional teaching experience, both formal and informal.
The pay range for this position is: $36.47 - $56.52 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
