Compensation: $30.40 to $35.20 hourly

Seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager to manage all aspects of the Human Resources function. The Human Resources Manager shall lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee oriented, high performance culture that promotes empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a growth-oriented and adaptable workforce.

Requirements:

  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures that policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance
  • Defines and manages hiring processes and procedures including: developing job descriptions and postings, coordinating interview schedules, supporting the recruitment process as needed, conducting background check process for final candidates, preparing employment contracts or letters, and overseeing the onboarding process including completion and collection of employment forms
  • Manages Workers Compensation claims and manages safety initiatives
  • Manages unemployment claims, employment verifications, garnishments, FMLA, and attendance
  • Manages and monitors HR best practices with respect to all employee relations; advises senior management on all employee relations matters
  • Works with senior management to refine and implement compensation programs and assists with annual salary budget to ensure compliance and equity within the organization
  • Administers benefits programs and manages relationships with vendors.
  • Responsible for ensuring programs meet employees needs, complies with legal requirements, and are cost
  • Also performs monthly accounting reconciliations of programs:
  • Processes payroll on a semi-monthly basis in coordination with controller and payroll software vendor
  • Communicates key changes in programs and legislation that may affect budget; interprets and explains personnel policies and procedures to department heads, employees and Assists the Director of Finance & Operations in modifying policies, programs, and cultural and organizational changes
  • Conducts exit interviews and gleans suggestions for improvement of employee experience and practices
  • Implements employee management best practices and minimizes legal
  • Retains personnel files in compliance with state employment requirements for independent schools, including teacher licensing and employee occupational licenses
  • Supports administration in staff development and evaluation
  • Reviews and updates the Employee Handbook in collaboration with Administrative team
