Job Duties and Responsibilities DISH Wireless is seeking a Manager of Network Engineering to oversee a team of engineers supporting the network activation of cell sites nationwide. This role is a key part of our business, with a unique opportunity to implement and optimize the latest networking solutions. The successful candidate will drive investigation, correction, and testing of network connectivity issues identified during and after the initial commissioning of cell sites. This work is primarily driven through normal ticketing and also includes additional network engineering related projects. He or she will collaborate cross-functionally with the Network Operations Center, Integration War Room, OnPrem Network Engineering, Network Security, Network Automation, Traffic/Transport Engineering, and Performance Management teams. In this role, you will: Build and maintain a proficient team of network engineers Monitor support and escalation requests and prioritize across the team Document and maintain processes and procedures required for normal day-today operations Provide technical leadership for complex project work Skills, Experience and Requirements Ideal Manager of Network Engineering candidates have: Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering preferred, or ten plus years of professional experience in large enterprise or carrier space; Professional networking certifications a plus - CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/JNCIE or equivalent; Public cloud certifications a plus - advanced networking, cloud network engineer, or equivalent; Experience leading a team through commitment, vision, motivation, and empowerment.
