About the Role:

This is a 3rd shift position that focuses on Method of Procedure (MOP) implementation in support of Kinetic, ILEC Outside Plant, and the Kinetic Engineering team.  This role will require extensive knowledge of fiber to the tower technology, 8031/8032, CWDM and DWDM as well as the ability to work in a fast paced work environment that at times requires working past the designated shift hours. 

What You'll Do:

  • Administrate all Kinetic MOP tickets to include updating MOP tickets, verifying network alarms, clearing the network with NOC verticals PRE and POST MOP and troubleshooting any issues that arise from the work being done in the MOPS
  • Perform software upgrades on all equipment in the Kinetic footprint
  • Coordinate restoration efforts related to any unplanned impact which involves working with multiple departments at times
  • Staff a 24x7 phone queue for network equipment adds and removals
  • Act as technical consultant within and outside assigned department in area of expertise
  • Define and analyze current gaps and recommend solutions
  • Establish training, and job aid documentation to improve workflow and educate users
  • Provisioning related to network grooms and site decommissioning projects

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's Degree in a technical discipline and 3-4 years technical/telephony experience with 3 years directly related to the job; or 6 years of directly related telephony or network operations experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience required.
