**Job Summary** The University of Colorado Law School invites applications from entry-level and lateral candidates for one or more full-time, tenured or tenure-track faculty positions to begin at the start of the 2023-24 academic year.
We welcome applications from candidates in all subject areas and at all levels of seniority. However, we have especially strong needs in Health Law, Business/Commercial Law, American Indian & Indigenous Peoples Law, Immigration Law, and Telecommunications & Internet Law. We also have needs in Negotiation/Alternative Dispute Resolution, Race and the Law (broadly construed), Environmental/Natural Resources Law (with an emphasis on Energy Law), International Law, and Evidence.
We are also very interested in candidates who can teach classes in the first-year curriculum, especially Tort Law, Criminal Law, and Constitutional Law.

**What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be**
The workload for this position is 40% Teaching/40% Research/20% Service:
+ Faculty members are expected to teach an annual workload of 9-10 credits per academic year and to provide instruction and student advising as assigned by the Dean or their delegate.
+ Classroom instruction responsibilities include holding class for the entire period for which the class is scheduled (including the final examination period) and evaluating students' work and assigning grades consistent with the policies of the Law School and University.
+ Ongoing curriculum development and planning is also an important component of teaching.
+ Faculty members will research and prepare scholarly publications in their areas of expertise, and participate in academic conferences.
+ Faculty members are expected to participate in scholarly and research activities that enhance their professional development and contribute to their disciplines.
+ Faculty members are expected to engage in service to the institution. University service involves membership in departmental, college-level and university committees, attending departmental meetings, student recruitment, processing routine paperwork such as filling out reports, answering email, and participating in surveys as appropriate.

**What We Can Offer**
+ Entry-Level (Associate Professor) pay range is $135,000-$145,000.
+ Lateral (Associate Professor or Professor) pay range: $145,000-$195,000.

+ Candidates must hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school or equivalent degree in a related field.
