The ideal candidate has a background selling managed service programmatic media (display, CTV/OTT, etc.) to both agencies and brand direct clients. (Added bonus if you've sold search and social, too.) Utilizes a consultative/problem solving approach to selling.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver results by meeting or exceeding annual quota in assigned geographic territory.
  • Majority of time will be spent developing new business (hunter) via active prospecting, responding to inbound leads and leveraging your network.
  • Manage existing accounts in tandem with a shared Account Manager (AM). (Roughly 10% of the time)
  • Expectations include deepening the relationship with the agency/client, understanding the KPIs Inuvo delivers as well as upsell and/or penetrate new accounts/product lines. The Sales Director should understand the "behind the scenes" of how things get done to help the AM balance their workload.
  • Create and review campaign results with Account Manager and agency/client
  • Respond to RFPs and actively pursue new opportunities
  • Develop and deliver customized presentations both in person and remotely
  • Utilize tools such as LinkedIn and MediaRadar to qualify and close prospects
  • Stay abreast of technology in the AI and programmatic spaces
  • Collaborate with other departments on new initiatives
  • Attend weekly sales meetings to share best practices, challenges, etc. with the sales team
  • Use Salesforce for account correspondence, forecasting, pipeline management, etc.
  • Attend conferences for networking and educational purposes
  • Travel up to 20% of the time (Contingent on territory assignment)

Requirements

  • Is a driven, initiative-taker capable of working independently as well as a team player
  • Expert level communications skills, both written and verbal, via email, phone and in-person
  • Be curious, altruistic and have a no excuses, positive attitude. Willingness to learn new ideas
  • Above average analytic acumen: able to decipher data and summarize salient points
  • Has attended formal sales training such as The Challenger Sale or Sandler Sales Training
  • Has attained President's Club, Top 10% Seller, etc. during your career
  • Is familiar with Salesforce or other CRM software
  • Understands the difference between cold calling and warm prospecting
  • Has brand and/or agency relationships that can be leveraged immediately
  • Understands the value of developing long term client relationships
  • Has working knowledge of DSPs, DMPs and similar platforms
  • While a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 7+ years of sales experience in online advertising is preferred, we're willing to consider candidates with 10+ years of online sales experience only
