Working under limited direction and guidance of the Director of Supply Chain Optimization, the Sr. Customer Consultant leads Medline healthcare customers through supply chain improvement projects and ensures expected results are achieved. While doing so the consultant will analyze existing processes and develop recommendations for new processes to improve efficiencies and labor savings. The Sr. Customer Consultant must multi-task on a daily basis and continuously flex and adjust to changing priorities.
The Sr. Customer Consultant is capable of managing multiple customer projects, ranging in scope from medium to high complexity; resulting in revenue to Medline of $200K - $500K anually.
The Sr. Customer Consultant thrives on building customer relationships and continuous improvement opportunities. The successful applicant is able to prioritize tasks and projects to drive the highest value proposition.
Manage multiple medium scale nation-wide projects from concept to realization involving individuals from multiple departments and disciplines.
Communicate project status updates, schedules, risks, and changes to customer leadership concisely and consistantly.
Assess and document the current state of customer supply chain processes while identifying potential improvement opportunities.
Recommend and implement solutions to simple or complex projects after performing significant engineering analyses utilizing; but not limited to, the following tools: work measurement (time study) and statistical analyses.
Develop basic to medium sized project plans. These plans will include action steps, schedules, etc. to enhance ability to deliver quality projects on-time and within budget.
Build strong customer relationships and achieve buy-in for consulting benefits.
Train customers across all levels of an organization on various software operations and Standard Operating Procedures.
Willingness to take over manual tasks (roll up their sleeves) with or without assistance to ensure job is completed correct/on-time.

3 to 10 years healthcare, consulting, or engineering experience.
Hospital supply chain or distribution/warehousing experience is preferred.
Lean Certification and experience specific to value stream mapping, kaizen events, and workplace 5S preferred.
Self starter, excellent follow-up skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize projects. Quickly adapts to new software and technology. i.e. hospital ERP, EMR systems, Warehouse Management System (WMS), Labor Management System (LMS), etc.
Effective communication skills with various levels of employees, ranging from hourly work teams to mid-level managers to executives.
Travel: Roughly 75%
Capable of standing / walking all day within a hospital or warehousing environment.
